Party in The Orangery

This part of the pub really comes alive at Christmas time. Private cocktail bar, adorable twinkly lights, classic Christmas decorations, plus heaters, fluffy blankets (perfect for cosy-ing up under). Tuck into our belt-loosening 3-course Christmas Feast menu, or our festive sharers, along with our Grinch-proof party packages.

Festive Food

From seasonal salty nibbles, to more traditional treats, our kitchen team cook up a storm at Christmas time. Oozey Camemberts with plenty of bread for dipping, piles of crisp roast potatoes and gallons of gravy. Christmas is that oh-go-on-then time of the year and we’re here for it.

Christmas Drinks

Cheers-able occasions are around every corner at Christmas time. Winter cocktails, hot mulled wine, and that ultimate kick-the-party-off glass of bubbly. We’ve got a bucket-load of choice when it comes to drinks – whatever tickles your tinsel.

Party Time

Christmas drinks with the girls, the office knees-up, plus those post-work pints (after joyfully clicking on the ‘Out of Office’) and big family feasts. There’s a million-and-one reasons to come together to celebrate this Christmas.

We visited the White Bear for a family meal. The food was great and everyone enjoyed their meal. It was busy and buzzing - with music too.Lots of selection on the menu.Great place for a celebration.

We have just finished our (belated) work Christmas Meal at The White Bear. The food was excellent and the service by Connor and his team was fantastic. We were a party of 20, so had pre-booked. It was easy to organise and the whole team there were extremely helpful.

We had an amazing experience as a table of four on Christmas day. The food and service were both exceptional, such a lot of food for the price. The atmosphere in the whole pub was great and we had a wonderful time.

Are you open on Christmas Day?

Oh yes. We’re open 12-6pm on Christmas Day for pre-booked food and walk-in drinks.

Can I host a private Christmas Party?

The Orangery is ideal for private events, and this beautiful space really comes alive at Christmas.

Do you cater for large groups?

We sure do. Up to 100 guests in The Orangery.

Do we have to book for our Christmas celebration?

If you’re looking to dine from our Christmas Party menu, please do get in touch to book.

Planning a couple of post-work drinks? Welcome to simple rock up.

How do I secure my Christmas party?

We require a £10 deposit pp to confirm your booking with us. This amount can either be redeemed against your bill, or refunded onto the original payment card after your party.

How do I secure my Christmas Day enquiry?

We require a deposit pp to confirm your booking with us, then full pre-payment by 1st December 2025. This amount can either be redeemed against your bill, or refunded onto the original payment card after your party.

Do I need to pre-order?

Yes, we require a pre-order for our Christmas Feast menu or for our Christmas sharers a minimum of 10 days before your booking with us. Please note, we may require a pre-payment for substantial pre-orders. For Christmas Day bookings we will require your pre-order a minimum of 14 days before the big day.

Will there be Christmas crackers?

Absolutely! We’ll have crackers at the ready for all Christmas party bookings.
